Rebellion - Individual who's rejected the goal and the means and thinks that society needs to be changed
Subculture - group within society whose attitudes, norms and values differ significantly from those of wider society.

Fatalism - the idea that you are born to fail, working class individuals adopt the approach in education, accept they unable to succeed in education and resort in delinquent behaviour.

White Collar Crime - crimes committed by those of a high social class, e.g. fraud, overcharging customers and corruption
Vagrancy laws - laws made to ensure that those who were fit to work went to work as there was a low workforce due to the plague wiping people out.
Labelling - happens when specific characteristics given to individuals on the basis of descriptions, labels or names. Labels are simplified descriptions, linking to stereotypes about specific groups of people.
Master status - idea that once successfully labelled, other qualities become unimportant and are known by this label.
Folk Devils - deviant group within society who are viewed as dangerous and demonised by the media and should be feared by society
Deterministic - individual or groups futures or actions are set in stone and have no control over it
