spies
as the name suggests, spies were used to get information or commit acts against the other side. were mostly females, as many males at the time thought that women could not have the brain power to gather information the enemy
the most famous of which was mata hari. she was a spy for the allies and got many central men to tell her secrets
code
as the title suggests, code was used to transport information. but the trouble was finding a code that couldnt be translated.
Wind talkers
these were people who had millenia to form a whole language, so when the allies used them, the central powers could not figure out there "code" as it was a fully develuped language
Toxic gas
as practically everyone was in trenches, sending gas where they have to live was pretty effective
mustard gas
mustard gas was different, as you did not even have to breath it in to die= all it has to do is touch your skin and you get mustard colored bumps on your skin. plus it stayed in the trenches for several days/weeks to clear out while other gases take minutes.
