        these were people who had millenia to form a whole language, so when the allies used them, the central powers could not figure out there "code" as it was a fully develuped language
  - - - mustard gas
        
        mustard gas was different, as you did not even have to breath it in to die= all it has to do is touch your skin and you get mustard colored bumps on your skin. plus it stayed in the trenches for several days/weeks to clear out while other gases take minutes.
  - - - It was used in WW1 first by germany when defending from french and british
        
        it also caused alot of Stalemates- when neither side can advance
      - Trenches not only protected from gunfire, but it also gave some spots for artillery and ammo dumps
        
        But it definetly wasnt all good. it was a constant target for chemical attacks and artillery. Plus, if it rained and you stayed there for too long, youre feet/legs would rot and fall off

        their allies were GB, russia, france, italy, and eventually U.S.A
        
        many other countries remained in a nuetrality.
