After WW2 , in 1947, Jawahalal Nehru proposed Asian sport in Asian Conference with Asian Countries.

During 11th games, the games renamed with Oriental Championship games but was cancelled.
1948 , during 14th Olympic Games in London , Jawahalal Nehru proposed the idea with world Sport leaders.
1949, Asian Amateur Athletic Federations (AAAF) was formally formed and change the name to Asian Athletic Federations ( AAF ).
First Asian Games was confirmed in New Delhi, India
