1) Apply to an Accelerated Nursing Program (ABSN)
Will graduate around 2023
Will have 2 B.S. degrees
Will have hella debt
Able to take my NCLEX
OUT OF STATE option too! Limited ABSN programs in California
2) Apply for Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Will graduate around 2024
Will have hella debt
Will be able to take NCLEX
Will be able to become a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Leader
Will have lots of money
Lots of behind the scenes
Problem
: Rumor that by 2022-2025, all Nurse Practitioner's need to go to MEDICAL SCHOOL
Extra certifications needed for Master's.
Need to take National Exams
If I don't get in
1) go for an ABSN.
2) do something w/ human development
3) go back to CC to pursue an associates (ASN)
Wait 1-2 years to be accepted into
De Anza Nursing program
(waitlist)
Meanwhile, find a medical job
De Anza Nursing Program will take 2 years
Will graduate around 2021
Will graduate with an
Associate in Science, Nursing
(ASN)
Take NCLEX exam. Pass it.
Join a
ASN-BSN
bridge program

Will graduate around 2023

Medical Assistant degree (M.A)
at De Anza. Process will take around 1-2 years.
Get certified.
Work as an M.A. for a year or two.
Reapply to colleges again. This time, my job background will strengthen my application.
