Newton's Second Law of Motion
Law
Acceleration equals the net force divided by the objects mass
Equation
I cannot for the love of got get this picture to show up so i will just link it here clear picture:

The equation being a=f over m
Rule
Also applies when the net force acts in an opposite direction of the objects motion
when mass is doubled you get half the acceleration but when force is doubled you get two times the acceleration

Water Rocket
I have no idea whats going on so I will also link the picture here:

When making our rocket we wanted to be wary of the weight of the rocket since if it was to heavy than the acceleration would be less and therefore not travel as far. Since the force applied was a constant and couldn't be changed we had to be wary of the variable mass we could change

note; these aren't exact measurements for the mass of our rocket
Newton's First Law of Motion
Law
An object at rest tends to stay at rest while an object in motion stays in motion
Inertia
The objects resistance to a change in motion
measured in mass of object
Water Rocket

Since there was an unbalanced force to the air resistance acting on the rocket the rockets stayed in motion for the duration of the launch
Newton's Third Law of Motion
Law
When one object exerts a force on another object the second object exerts and equal reaction
Rule
Action and reaction forces don't cancel out since they act on different objects
Water Rocket

The action force for our rocket was the 60 psi exerted from the bottle and the reaction force was the air resistance on the bottle
Energy
The ability to do work or preform change
Kinetic energy
The energy of motion
depends upon the objects mass and speed
equation
ke=half of mass multiplied by the square of speed
Potential Energy
gravitational potential energy

potential energy that depends upon height, mass and acceleration due to gravity
clear picture:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cfYnWMR-OmSWZBVMwowAYDaIFUXC2dew/view?usp=sharing
equation
pe=mgh( weight multiplied by height)
stored energy that results from position and shape
Work
the combination of force and distance on an object !
depends upon the direction of the object
equation
work equals the force multiplied by distance
si unit
joule which equals one newton-meter
