CONFLICT is an expressed struggle between at least two interdependent people who perceive incompatible goals, scarce resources, or interference in the achievement of their goals
Conflict is a disagreement or struggle between individuals with opposing expectations, opinions or goals.

Simple conflict: conflict stemming from different ideas, definitions, perceptions, or goals.

Source-prior conditions: begins when individuals become aware of their different expectations, attitudes, perceptions or goals.
Beginning- Frustration awareness: occurs when at least one person comes to realize the differences are problematic and becomes upset, angry or frustrated.
Middle-Active conflict: begins when the frustration is expressed and is brought to the attention of others, either verbally or non verbally.
End- Resolution: occurs when the individuals start seeking ways to manage and resolve the conflict. not all conflicts end on a positive note, but every conflict does have a solution.
Aftermath- Follow-up: occurs after the conflict has been resolved. involves dealing with hurt feelings, ending grudges and making sure that those involved agree with the resolution.
