Facts/Characteristics: It’s illegal to use copyrighted work without the permission of the owner of the copyright. Can have legal repercussions.

Professional Learning Network (Hutchison & Colwell, 2015, p. 189)
Definition: Online networking involving other professionals in your field, to learning and spread ideas for professional development
Facts/Characteristics: Commonly done on social networking sites. They can be people you know personally or from fae away. The idea is to expand reach using digital tools.
Real-World Connection: I have elementary ed teacher friends who frequently use Twitter to share how they teach and to reach out to other teachers for mentor-esque conversations

Definition: A plan that can be used to keep specific learning goals in focus.
Facts/Characteristics: G (Goals) A (Actions – how to reach goal) M (Monitor – checks and balances to see if you’re staying on track) E (Evaluation – measuring if you reached your goal)
