Nonassociative Learning

sensitization- increase in responsiveness to either a repeated application of a stimulus or a aversion or noxious stimulus. Stimulus produces a more exaggerated response

desensitization- decreased responsiveness to an aversion stimulus after repeated exposure . May occur during desensitization therapy.

Social Learning
Observational Learning- learning based on observing behavior of others as well as the consequences of that behavior...also called vicarious learning
CTA- conditioned taste aversion/ Garcia effect- after a subject eats something and gets ill later, they associate the food with illness and will not eat it. Sometimes, subjects form aversions to similar foods
cognitive map- demonstrates latent learning, learning that is not outwardly expressed until it is needed.

Bobo Doll experiment- kids witnessed adults acting a certain way around Bobo dolls and researches saw how they reacted to this when it was their turn to play with them.
