- - - - Patients given knowledge about illness substantially decreased drug errors in patients with SLE. - (Mullen et al., 1985)
  - - - Important before returning home to reduce fatigue when climbing stairs at home and at the school she teaches. Can include compensation techniques and training to get her ready to return home
    - - Will help with her ability to pick up her children and whatever else she may be picking up at home or at her school.
- - - - Walking / Swimming / Cycling Program 3x / week in 30-50 minute increments
        
        Much softer on joints and minimizes risk for fatigue as compared to other types of exercise

        Patients with SLE ages between 16-55 showed that this exercise regimen made 49% of patients feel much or very better. (Tench et al., 2003)
      - Resistance training
        
        Lighter weights, higher repetitions.
        Ex. 3-4 sets with 15-20 repetitions
        
        Muscle strengthening exercises are considered safe for patients with SLE. Improvements in fatigue, functional status, cardiovascular fitness, and muscle strength were also noted. -(Ramsey-Goldman et. al., 2000)
        
        Avoid hard grasping and exersices that emit extra torque on joints
