This part of the movie is pretty intense, in this scene it shows how Joe Simpson is falling down the mountain as his pickaxe didn't stab through the snow and ice. It also shows how dangerous and how steep this mountain is because when he falls down the mountain it was a very steep slope.
This is one of the more intense scenes in the movie, in this scene, it shows Simpson falling down the mountain because his pickaxe failed to grip on to the snow in the mountain

This isn't a very intense scene compared to the other ones within the 2 minutes and 10 seconds. In this scene, it shows how he's hanging off the cliff, and he's not at any risk of dying because he is hanging off of the cliff with a very thick rope.

This is a pretty intense scene because while he falling down the hill a second time, there is also very intense music and sounds so it gives a feeling of intensity.
