Eye
Pupil:The hole located in the iris that changes size to allow different amounts of light into the inner eye.
Iris:The colorful structure of the eye that changes the shape of the pupil to allow for different amounts of light to enter the inner eye.
-
Ciliary Body:A muscle that controls the shape of the lens to better focus the light onto the retina of the inner eye
Cornea:The outermost lens of the eye that focuses light into the inner eye and protects it from harmful matter.
-
-
-
-
Vitreous body:Watery liquid inside the posterior chamber of the eye that helps maintain pressure and shape.
Spinal Cord
Cervical:is connected to the head, neck, upperbody, arms and hands, 8 pairs of cervical nerves
Thoracic:Is connected to the hands, fingers, chest, and abdominal muscles. Has 12 pairs of nerves
Lumbar:is connected to the hips, knee, ankles, and toe muscles. Has 5 pair of nerves
Sacral:is connected to the legs, toes, bladder, and anal muscles. Has 5 pair of nerves
-
Is protected by spinal cord meninges. Innermost to outermost.(pia matter, subarachnoid space, arachnoid matter, subdural space, dura matter and epidural space.)
Grey matter is located internal and has the following components :anterior horns, lateral horns, posterior horns, and grey commissure.
*White matter:is located in the external of the spinal cord.It has three regions called posterior, lateral and anterior funiculus
Ear
-
-
Middle ear
Ossicles:three tiny bones,transmit and amplify vibrations (Malleus,Incus,Stapes)
-
Round window:at the end of lower chamber of cochlea, absorbs pressure waves
Eustachian tube:air filled tube linking middle ear to throat, it equals the air pressure.

Brain anatomy
-
Brainstem: Is the passageway for all tracts extending between the major regions of the brain & spinal cord. Life support decsions.
Midbrain: motor movement, particularly movements of the eye, and in auditory and visual processing.
-
Medulla oblongata:helps regulate breathing, heart and blood vessel function, digestion, sneezing, and swallowing.
Cerebrum:Conscious thought process, intellectual function
Composed of two halves called left & right cerebral hemispheres which are separated by the longitudinal fissure.
-
-
-
Primary somatosensory cortex: Receives and interpets infromation from resceptors for touch ,pain
-
-
-
-
Cerebellum: control muscles actions, stores memories of movement patterns.
