AUDIENCE
Rock bands such as Kings of Leon had a very hardcore fan base which was shown in Kings of leon's 'use somebody' as we see the lead singer being energetic and making the crowd have a connection to the group.
INSTITUIONS
Kings of Leon is a US based rock band which was formed in 1999 and has been growing ever since. In 2008 they managed to get signed to Sony Music in which after they managed to many awards such as MTV Awards and Q Awards and many more.
CAMERA ANGLES
In terms of camera angle we see lots of wide angle and close up shots. The reason for this is by having close ups it allows the band to show their passion and emotions which is an important aspect. This was shown in Kings of leon 'Sex on fire' music which in the close-ups we see their emotions portrayed to the audience perfectly as we can see exactly how they're feeling.
GENRE
The music video 'use somebody' and in many other rock videos we see the overall image of the band by the visual aesthetics placed in the video as it's been a traditional convention in rock.
NARRATIVE
The narrative in music video's is normally seen as being emotional. They tend to show loneliness in which makes the lyrics relatable to the music video as songs tend be emotional rather than upbeat. We see this in both Kings of Leon's songs 'use somebody' and 'sex on fire' where the song and the music video's narrative is emotional.
