The Effects of Industrialization
Opportunities expanded for entrepreneurs and skilled workers. There were new types of jobs available.
Opportunity to move up social classes, increase wealth, and increase status.
Increased Quality of Living
Merchants, factory owners, and shippers had a higher quality of living because of increased wealth.
Housing, diets, clothing improved
Entrepreneurs became equal to aristocrats.

Where People Live
People moved to the city as a result of the agricultural revolution and higher wages. Large cities grew in population which changed where people live and work today.
Trade increased in the country and around the world with the help of the steam engine. These routes lasted for many years.

Better Working Conditions
Higher wages, shorter hours, safety rules
It polluted the air and water, which spread illness faster and causing more to die from those illnesses.
They were depleted which eliminated some jobs and caused famine, since people didn't have access to food.
SInce heir were no sanitary codes, many would get sick and die. WIthout these codes working and living was very dangerous for all.
Didn't give kids the opportunity to have an education, which would make them better off with more opportunities in life. It took away their childhood, instead of playing and learning they were doing what would have been adults work
Large Landowners and aristocrats lost some status
Since those of lower classes had the opportunity to move up the social ladder, large landowners and aristocrats lost some power, respect and status, but still looked down upon those of lower class and status.
Since farmers were kicked off their land, they needed a place to live with jobs, the city became overpopulated, crowded, and everyone was competing for jobs.
They were very poor and dangerous conditions. Many were injured, died, or became sick. The air was very polluted. People relied on these wages so if injured or sick, it would become problematic in supporting their families.
Working hours were very long, and would cause one to be sleep deprived and they would work for small wages.
