Benefits for Institutions- Greater flexibility in scheduling allows for a wider range of students at a much lower cost.
Costs of Online Learning to Institutions- New software and technology will have to be aquired as well as people would need to learn the new structure and how everything works.
Synchronous- in real time, and increases social presence utilizing video conferencing technology.

Introducing online learning can be a great form of education as long as it goes along with the normal in class learning structure we have now. Online Learning could not stand alone.
