Coureur de Bois
The life of a coureur des bois was very dangerous at that time, considering that they weren’t recognized traders by the French authorities. They also travel as far as 2,000 kilometers, or more from home just to make trades.
Courier de Bois was an independent entrepreneurial French-Canadian woodsman who traveled in New France and the interior of North America
