The 18th Amendment was then revised with the 21th Amendment which gave the States back the power to make their own individual laws on Liquor Prohibitation
with the rising of crime within the youth it became a presidential issue once again. This is when J. F. Kennedy created an anti-crime issue initiatives without any direction in that along is responsible for very much of the current federal involvement in solving problems.
Johnson was faced with racial violence. So he expanded from the Kennedy initiated. Johnson made history when he started the war on crime. His administration created the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act.
Johnson, and Hoover created a national commission to research solutions for the criminal justice system.
He started cleaning up the policies and focus strictly on Law and order.
President Ford keep on working on the policies for law-and- order rhetoric. While President Carter spent a large amount of time on dealing with the"runaway" bureaucracy for LEAA.
Reagan gave life back to the Law and Order Policies. He created several bills including The Anti-Drug Abuse Act, and the Comprehensive Crime Control Act.
