Right wing protesters believe the removal is an attempt to remove their heritage and beliefs. Believes the statue represents white military and political superiority.
This caused anger, hatred and outrage towards the direction modern society is trying to take in regards to creating a safer more multicultural environment.
Left wing protesters find the statue as a reminder of oppression, segregation, and slavery
Believe the removal of the confederate statue will help create a safer, healthier environment
How do they feel about the opposing parties
The right wing protesters feel anger discomfort with the other protester standing against them
The left wing protesters don't feel safe living in the same city as groups like this and want to show them that their beliefs and position is just as strong
