The resurection
Joseph of Arimathea was given permission to take Jesus's body down from the cross. He rested him in a stone tomb. When Mary Magdalene and her crew returned to the tomb, the stone was rolled away, and Jesus was gone. A man in white then told the women to meet the risen Jesus in Galilee. Mary does this, and "saw the risen Jesus". He was sighted multiple times over the next 40 days, until he ascended into Heaven.

The Bible
Creation
Why is it important?
- Human lives have purpose and value as we are all made in the image of god.
- Because we are made in the image of god, we all must be equal
- It shows the earth planned and sustained by god

Afterlife and Judgement

Heaven and hell
We use earthly images, such as heaven and hell, to explain eternity after death
Evil and Suffering
The problem of evil
The problem of evil is a problem because if we acknowledge that god is omnibenevolent, omniscient, and omnipotent, then evil simply should not exist.
-
If god is omnibenevolent, then he should want to end evil. If god is omniscient, then he should always know when evil is taking place, so he can end it. And if god is omnipotent, then he should be able to end all evil with ease.
-
-
If you remove just one of these attributes, then the problem of evil breaks down. However, since these virtues of god are confirmed in almost every chapter of the bible, we cannot simply remove one of them to fit the Christian agenda.

Sin
What is original sin?
Original sin is the doctrine that all humans are born evil and sinful, as it is a vice we have inherited from Adam and Eve. In traditional Christian teaching, original sin is the result Adam and Eve's disobedience to God when they ate of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.
Many also see it as solution to the problem of evil: as humans are incurably evil by nature, and god does not want to deprive us of free will, it means that suffering will always happen as result of human actions.
How does sin affect us?
One way christians might be affected by sin is by being affected by crime. Crime has a far greater effect on us because it is more visible and often has a more immediate impact. Crime forces us to seek security so that it does not touch us in a painful way.
Another way is by other people’s unjust actions, that are wrong and anti-social by not necessarily a crime.
