Photosynthesis
By: Kate Henderson
Equation: 6H20+6C02----sun---> C6H12O6+6O2
Equation- 6 water+ 6 carbon dioxide -----sun----> glucose + 6 oxygen
Light Reaction
Happens in the Thylakoid
Reactants: H2O Water
This process need sunlight
Products: ATP, NADPH, 6 O2 oxygen
Dark Reaction
Happens in the stroma
Reactants: ATP, NADPH, CO2 Carbon dioxide
Light is not needed in this process
Products: Glucose, ADP+P, NADP+
The organelle that preforms Photosynthesis is the chloroplast.
Stroma- This is where the dark reaction happens. This is the liquid surrounding the grana.
Grana- This is a stack of thylakoids.
Thylakoid- This is where the light reaction happens. Thylakoids are membranes that attract sunlight.
