Comfort Zone
A mentor pushes a person to do something that they normally wouldn't do. This is pushing someone out of their comfort
At the beginning of the session my mentee was quiet and awkward with being social, but now approaching session seven my buddy has attained a new self confidence and is constantly talking about his day and problems he has like no sure what hat to wear each day because he has so many.
Coaching
A mentor will coach their mentee on a certain subject, this could be academic, athletic or anything else
Resources and Networks
A mentor will share with their mentee resources, or networks of people to help them in their future

Self Regulation
Self Regulation is a person's ability to control their own actions and emotions, being able to change them to the situation
Social Skills
Social Skills are the skills we use to communicate and interact with each other, both verbally and non-verbally, through gestures, body language and our personal appearance.
My mentor is not the greatest with social cues and skills in instances like he said he really hated this certain teacher I had to be serious and talk to him about how it's not right to make fun or be mean to people even if you don't say it to them. But my mentor didn't seem to get the point and just kept going until he finally realized I was serious
Self Awareness
Self awareness is the capacity for a person to look inward and recognize their strengths and weaknesses.

Reputation
My mentor is heavily influenced by people with reputation and the impact they will have in his reputation which he cherishes deeply. On session number three we were walking in the school yard and passed a group of kids and my mentee told me to be careful and not go near them solely because of the reputation they had on the playground
