Ratios
-Unit Rate-
The unit rate is the number/answer of the problem. It is the same thing of the constant of proportionality and is sort of like the K value except not in a equation.
If I have 10 cookies for every 2 of my friends, what would the Unit rate be? The unit rate would be 5 because it is the answer or solution.

K value
The K value is `part of the equation. It is the constant but on the equation. The K value is created by the Y and X variables

Proportion
If a word problem is proportional, it means that it has a constant, that means it is a equivalent ratio. Proportionality means that it is equal and that it has a value.
Is the relationship between cookies and friends proportional if I have 10 cookies for every 2 of my friends? Yes because the constant is 5. The value of the ratio would be 5:1 for number of cookie to number of friends.
Proportionality relates ,again, to the constant of proportionality and the value because if the problem does not have those things, it would not be proportional.
Constant of P. Graph
You can tell if the ratio, table or etc. is proportional on the graph by the line and the origin. If the line is straight and goes through the origin that means it is proportional.
Real life problem: If I have 10 cookies for every 2 of my friends and I put that on a graph, It would be proportional because it would go through the origin and it would be a straight line.
