Cognitive Dissonance: Psychological discomfort experienced due to incompatibility between attitudes/beliefs and vehaviour
To reduce dissonance:
Change attitude/behaviour or both
Belittle importance of the inconsistent behaviour
Find consonant elements that outweigh dissonant ones.
