It is inherently impossible to prove or disprove any of the current religions in the world with the technology we have today. This means that all belief in religion is, to some extent, blind faith, as there is no way to prove or disprove practitioners' beliefs. Thus, my point is not the dangers of blind faith in religion, as, all faith in religion is blind. My point is that individuals feel obligated to agree with and accept decisions that their religious leaders make which puts religious leaders in a formidable status. This applies to religious leaders with government influence or leaders of a non-secular state as well.
