How did a Monarchy government control/maintain their power?
Lords who defied the king were punished and lost their land and title. Some kings would execute lords and mount their heads on pikes to show the power of the king. Even though the king had lots of power, it was difficult to stay in command when several powerful lords banded together to overthrow the king. During the middle ages, the king threatened lords and nobles into serving him using federal authority and power as a threat to make them follow him.

How Much Control Should The Government Have?

Should the government be involved in people lives?
I took two sides of a discussion one that says they should be a part of our lives and another one that says they shouldn't
Governments should be a part of our lives:
They should be involved in our lives because they have more power then we do. They protect us and for that protection they ask for our money we earn and that shouldn't be a problem.

Governments shouldn't be a part of our lives:
It shouldn't be in the governments power and right to say how we should live our daily lives. WE pay the taxes to support basic commodities; Transit; Water; Electricity; etc. As for food I think that the people should grow and hunt their own food. Laws are supposed to be passed to regulate government, NOT it's citizens.

Jobs
If governments didn't exist then we wouldn't have proper jobs. Governments give us opportunities to get jobs.
Governments take care of fair payment, job center, help you find a job, provide a minimum of money if you don't have a job.
Governments keep unemployment rate low.

If the people stopped believing in their president and the government didn't get any more power from them, what would happen?
When the people stop believe then riots and demonstrations would start and would work towards a change in governmental structure. Worst case a war would start.
Examples of this would be Egypt, Iraq, Iran and some African countries.

The executive because the president controls policy, has a veto and decides how to enforce laws. In some cases the most powerful branch can be the judicial branch because it can override the other branches.
