-Yes there has been multiple occasions here punishments have caused problems.
-One of the problems fore example in the ancient greek times there was a form of death which was so unbearable where there were battles happening in the kingdoms.
Do strict punishments decrease the amount of crime in a society? Do they have benefits?
A;
-Protects citizens from dangerous criminals
-Scares people to not do bad things
-Provides law to a country or kingdom
-Allows scientist to experiment to kinds of chemicals on people.
How did it benefit a society?
For example, as I said because Singapore had such strict they had a lot of benefits. Thanks to the rules Singapore became a safer place which was really good for expats to come and work there which then funded its government. Thanks to Singapore's no littering rule the streets were clean and because of the no graffiti rule no one had thrown some dangerous trash and maybe hurt someone with it by leaving it on the streets.
Are there any examples that have happened recently?
One of the most recent beneficial rules that happened was in Singapore. In Singapore, they have the most strict rules in the world like selling gum, feeding pigeons, littering and grafting. Thanks to the rules people are scared of getting fined or suffering a punishment so the Singapore crimes decrease exponentially.Now because of that Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world
Who chose the rules?
The Legislative part of our government is called Congress. Congress makes our laws. Congress is divided into 2 parts. One part is called the Senate. There are 100 Senators--2 from each of our states. Another part is called the House of Representatives. Representatives meet together to discuss ideas and decide if these ideas (bills) should become laws. Plus he Judicial part of our federal government includes the Supreme Court and 9 Justices. They are special judges who interpret laws according to the Constitution.
Who decides the criminals punishments?

-Most of the time judges are the people who decide who gets what punishment.
-The judges overlooks what the criminal has done and what happened to victim and the decides if the criminal should have a punishment or what kind of punishment,
How do we know the judges will judge fairly
What are the punishments?
A:
One of the most common punishments that are used are solitary,labour,confiscation of personal belongings, Transfer to less desirable areas.

A;
There are multiple punishments that were horrible like death, cancer injections, being beaten, white noise torture and fight clubs.
What are the crimes that judge where they have to use these punishments?
Should the punishments change because of age
A:
I thing punishments should change due to age because the children brains have not developed fully yet so they do not know what is right or wrong.
-Teenager goes threw puberty which can affect his or her behaviour which could lead on to a crime
-Most of the time children are forced to do crimes because of adults
Can elder people be judged someway to?
