Arabian World Geo Wrap Up
Pull Factors
A third reason why people were pulled towards the religion Islam, is that the Kabah pulled pulled the Muslims to the city of Mecca to pray. Also they would need to come here since this is one of the five pillars.
Another reason why people are pulled towards Arabia is knowledge. The Arabians are the people that made up algebra, they were advanced for their time period, so people probably wanted some of that knowledge.
One reason why people are pulled towards Arabia is that of trade opportunities. People like the Bedouins sell silks, cloths, spices, and much more.
Another thing we can learn is that when you want to settle (live) somewhere, than see the environment because people like the Bedouins travel through the dessert, suffering the intense heat.
A fourth thing we can learn is that water should be taken for as something special. People in the dessert don't have that much water, while we can go to the facet, turn the knob, and you have water.
Something else we can learn is that the Muslims are really dedicated. I say this because they prey five times a day, and they even travel to the city of Mecca
Something we can learn from the Bedouins is that people can adapt to a point where they know where they are in the dessert.
A conclusion we can draw is that the religion Islam is very popular today. Today there are mosques all over the world, in places such as Spain.
Push Factors
A third reason why people were pushed away from Arabia is because of battles. Oasis are the only source of water in the dessert, so people wanted all the water for themselves.
A reason why people were pushed away from the religion Islam is because of some of the five pillars. One of the Five Pillars is Pilgrimage to Mecca, at least once in your lifetime. Some people might not have the money or even the health, to travel away from home. Also another one is Charity. If people don't have that much money and they can barely sustain themselves, how can they sustain someone else.
Another reason why people might not want to come to Arabia is because of the shortage of water. In Arabia, there isn't that much water, and it barely even rains.
One final push factor is isolation. When your out in the dessert your not going to find that much people because the dessert is a harsh place. In the dessert there are sand storms, and not that much water. If there is a sand storm than the environment around you will change, and then you will get lost.
One reason why people might not want to come to Arabia is because of the bad weather. There are lots of sandstorms, and when there is sandstorms the landscape next to you will change, so it will be different, and harder to navigate through.
One thing I can connect to Arabia to the world today is that we have Universities. Arabians are basically the founders of Universities, and today we have a lot of them.
One last thing I can connect to Arabia is that in the dessert they have sand storms, like we have today in some of the dryer areas.
A fourth connection is that the Muslims have their own God, and they pray to their God, like we do today.
I can also connect the Bazaar to today's swap meet. In the Bazaar people traded their goods, in return for what ever the seller said. In today's swap meet they do the exact samething.
Another connection is surgery. Arabs from the past used to do surgery, and today we still do surgery, but in an advanced way. Instead of people performing most surgery now, the surgeons use robots.
