Magnetic resonance imaging
Magnetic Resonance Angiography or
Computed Tomography scan for brain
to rule out hemorrhage if not available

Acute Chest Syndrome

Oxygen to keep saturation ≥94%
Analgesics
IV fluids(maintenance)
IV Ceftriaxone and Vancomycin
Diuretics if fluid overload is suspected
Bronchodilators if wheezing or has history of asthma
Blood transfusion in moderate distress and hemoglobin ≤6.0 gm/dl or HB dropped by 1.5 gm/dl from baseline HB
Exchange transfusion when Has extensive infiltrate on x-ray or Needs ≥40% oxygen and Needs admission to ICU

Antipyretics
Oxygen to keep saturation ≥94%
IV fluids 1.5 maintenance
IV Ceftriaxone and Vancomycin
Erythromycin if age is ≥ 5 yrs or
Mycoplasma is suspected
Priapism
Analgesia
IV hydration(1.5 maintenance)
Catheterization
If no response in 6 hours go to blood transfusion 10 ml/kg of packed RBCs
If no response in 24 hours Exchange transfusion
(for prolonged cases lasting more than 6 TO 12 hours consider a single volume exchanges )
If no response in 24 Hours surgery
