Soil
Soil is the mixture of organic materials, weathered rocks, minerals, water and air that can support plant growth.
There are 5 layers of soil. 
The Third layer is the sub soil. Also known as the B horizon. It is made up of sand, clay, silt, nutrients and minerals.
The fourth layer is the partially weathered rock layer. Also known as the C horizon and Parent Rock. This layer is made up of weathered rock as the name says.
The second layer is the top soil. Also known as the A horizon. This layer is the most fertile soil. It is made up of decayed material.
The first layer is the organic layer. This is also known as the O horizon. It is made up of litter, dead materials, leaves, bugs, and twigs.
Last but not least is the bedrock layer. Also known as the D horizon and the R horizon. This layer has no weathered rocks.
