photosynthesis
-
factor affecting :
carbon dioxide concentration: the greater the concentration of carbon dioxide the more amount of glucose can be produced as there will be more carbon and oxygen.
light intensity: the greater the light intensity the greater the photosynthesis, as the more the light gets trapped the more molecules it can split causing more glucose to be formed
temperature: the reaction is catalyzed by the enzyme. so the higher the temperature the faster the enzyme will work. so, therefore, increasing the speed of the reaction.
it is a process in which the plant makes carbohydrates from the raw material using light as the source of energy

the plants get the water through the process of osmosis from the roots. the carbon dioxide is gotten by diffusion in stomata in the leaves. chlorophyll gets sunlight to be used as energy. the light energy is used to split c and o from co2 and h from h2o to get glucose
is carbon dioxide really needed for photosynthesis?
take 2 plants cover both with a plastic. place one dish in each. one with soda lime and other with hydrogen carbonate. put both the plants in sunlight, after some time you will realize that the plant with soda lime will not have carbon dioxide so when starch is put on a leaf it will be brown but the leaf with hydrogen carbonate( control) turns blue as co2 is being produced.
is oxygen really produced photosynthesis?
take a plant and put it with a paper clip. put the plant in water and cover it with a funnel and put a test tube above it. put it in sunlight . after a few hours check if the gas has oxygen by putting a glowing sprinter. if it has oxygen then it will reglow.
how does light/ temperature affect photosynthesis? take a plant and place it with a paperclip in water and put it near the light. change position of the light to check the effect of light on the plant. count the number of bubbles being produced. repeat the same for temperature.the greater the light intensity or temperature the more the photosynthesis.
is sun needed for photosynthesis?cover some of the plants with black paper and leave in the sun the covered pant doesn't turn blue because no starch is produced
is chlorophyll needed for photosynthesis? take a plant and remove chlorophyll by putting it in temperature of boiling water and rub ethanol and put it in water. remove the green alcohol as it absorbs alcohol to keep in sunlight check for starch. iodine will turn brown
