Risks involved with online auctions include:
you may not receive the goods
• the goods may be damaged on delivery
• the goods may not be the same as shown in the
picture, or they may be the same but of a poorer
quality
• the seller may be slow in delivering the goods.
Group buying
As well as the risks associated with online auctions, the main risks involved with group buying include businesses:
closing down and not supplying the product
• providing inferior products or not providing
what was advertised
• refusing to redeem customers’ coupons
• not providing refunds if the product is not
delivered.
