28 December 2015 - Interagency raid - Townhouse Gallery and Rawabet Theatre is closed. operation licenses confiscated
15th February 2016 - TG has re-opened for two weeks in order to settle new permits and procedures requested by the municipality.
22th February 2016 - Egyptian government wanted TG to adopt to new safety and health regulations and submit details about its programming
10th April 2016 - Deputy Governer Mohamed Abdel-Tawab assured tenants: “Governorate would send a new committee to carry out a proper assessment
9th April 2016 - Municipality committee came to inspect the building and said: “Building in its current state endangers people’s lives.”

11th April 2016 - Municipality sent armed police to the site, forcing tenants out of the building, municipality workers causing damage to floors, doors and windows
13th April 2016 - A specialized committee issued a decision declaring the building safe and approving its restoration. Demolition halted.
9th April 2016 - Standoff between the tenants and the police stretched into the afternoon. At the end they ordered for evacuation of building
