At Home Daycare
3 Benefits
-
-
Caretaker can focus on the individual needs of each child as opposed to a regular daycare where they focus on the needs of the group.

About
Cost?
Around $330 to $920 for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. It generally costs more in cities and less in rural areas.
Ages Accepted?
It depends on the person running the Home Daycare and changes for every option. Most will take preschoolers and toddlers, but young babies require more care so not everyone would be willing to take them.
Qualifications?
Qualifications vary by state. Some Missouri qualifications for being a Home Daycare Provider are as follows (all qualifications are listed in the Rules of the Department of Health Chapter 60 & 61: Anyone caring for 4 or fewer unrelated children is not required to be licensed and does not have to contact the US Department of Health and Senior Services to report they are providing child care. There is a staff to child ratio that must be met that is detailed in the Rules of the Department of Health Chapter 60.
What does it look like?
-
-
A Home Daycare is done at a home instead of at a care center. This is done for many reasons, one of which is to make sure the child develops in a safe, home-like environment.

What are my Options?
Your options depend entirely on your location. A Home Daycare Center is owned and operated by someone who wanted to open a Home Daycare Center out of their own home. If there isn't one in your area then you're out of luck. The availability of Home Daycare Centers depends entirely on your location.
