Of Mice and Men
Summary
-
Candys dog was sick and old, so they shoot him.
-
George, Lennie and Candy plans to sscape from the farm and begin their own adventure.

Characters
Candy
-
I think Candy is talking to Lennie because he killed her, and Candy knows that Lennie is mentally challenged, so he says that because he thinks Lennie is stupid because he killed her but he says also poor because he knows that Lennie cant do anything With his problems.
Maybe he also says "poor" because he is going to kill him, because he killed Curley's wife
Curley
-
-
He want to start a fight With Lennie to show him that he's stronger than him because he thinks Lennie is a weak and stupid person.
But when he attacks Lennie, Lennie shows him that his much more stronger than him.
He is always angry With Lennie because he wants respect from him and because Lennie was talking to his wife
If the boss or someone at the farm found out, Curley would be in trouble, because violens and fight was not tolerated in the 1930s.
He was affraid if he would end up with more truoble and problems, because hee fought at the farm. I'm not sure what would happend if someone took him for the fight but he would probably loose some Money, and thats a problem they allready have from the great depression.

-
George
-
-
Lied to the boss because he thought that they wouldn't understand that he was with someone like Lennie if they were not in family
Curley's wife
-
She wanted to talk to who she wanted on the farm, but Curley only allowed her to speak with him. Maybe because he was jealous or afraid if someone would take her away from him because she is pretty and the only woman at the farm.
She told us that she don't like Curley anymore, and that can make her even more difficult to live With.
Lennie
-
-
-
I think Lennie and Curley's wife did have conversation, but they talked for them self even though they talk to each other, because Lennie can't be With Curley's wife and Curley's wife can't be With Lennie, so they talked but not directly to each other so no one can blame them for that because they pretend to talk to them self

-
Lennie is being compared to a dog because of the way he slumps his water and lays down and drinks without his hand. He has a master, just like a dog (loyal) - when Crooks was "talking hurt" to George.
-
Crooks
-
Crocks agree to let Lennie into the room becase he feels lonely and want to talk to somebody eventhough he can't because he is black and the blacks don't have the same Equal rights as the white.
Crocks and the Field hands want to live like the white People (the dream) and have the same Equal rights, they wants to live a life like People around them.
Their dream never fulfilled because they were black People and the black People didn't have the same rights in the 1930s, so no one listened to them and no one cared about them and their wishes
-
Setting
-
A farm
Lennie and George have a dream to start a New life, because their life now is very difficult
That dream may have been important to their relationship because they have like a common goal in life together, that brings them together
