The movie beginns with a woman running from a group of men, she is wearing something that seems like an expensive red dress :dress:

Curley went off on Lenny, for no good reason. George tells Lenny to go back at him and Lenny grabs his fist and crushes it. Lenny gets sad afterwards. :cry:
Lenny does not want to hurtg anybody or anything for that sake. He trusts George and does what he tells him to.
Lenny has a mouse in his pocket, that is dead. George throws it away. Lenny keeps wanting to pet cute animals. And gets devastated once he does not get to. :mouse:
This could symbolise the way that Lenny feels. Mouses ared tiny and scared and Lenny might feel the same way even thought he is big.

Curley´s wife might have had som problems herself living with Curley on the farm. What are her difficulties?
Curley sees her as a possesion of his, and does not really give her much time or cares for her.

She is lonely, but are not allowed to talk to the farmers/The farmers are not allowed to talk to her, which leads them to giving her a cold shoulder.

How is Lenny described as a transition between nature and human beings? What is he being compared to?

Compared to a dog
He slurps his water, and drinks like a dog
He has a master, that guides him around (George).

Lenny is physical like nature, and not interlectual
The idea of "the american dream". A concept of succeding and becoming rich and famous. The difficulties of not being normal during hard times in USA.
George lied to the boss because he wanted Lenny and himself to get the job. It was not normal to travel with someone like Lenny as George did, so he made up an exuce.
During desperate times,when everything is reduced, Once something or someone does not function as is should, they are getting rid of. When something is "defected", or hurt it gets taken down instead of having to suffer. Just like the dog that was sick, and Lenny when he had to be killed instead of suffering
It made them work together against something and motivated each other. It was one of the few things they had in common

When Candy is alone with the murdered girl he says "poor bastard". Who do you think he is talking to and why?
Lenny
Candy felt sorry for Lenny because he cant control himself, and did not mean any harm. Lenny was facing huge consequenses after he accidently hurt her. Lenny got into a lot of trouble with no bad intention. The reason for "bastard" was probably because he was stated(?) over Lenny and his stupidity.

Setting: It would have huge consequenses. He would lose his job, and become wanted.The men went for their guns instead of going to the police

Curley was annoyed by Lenny because physical strength was important in the 1930s. Lenny was huge and strong, which made Curley look at him as an opponent.
