Repetition/consistency
Each pen will have the same manufacturer and go through the same processes. this means that the pen will be completely the same
Allignment
The pen must be completely symmetrical. This ensures that the product is aesthetically appealing Whilst having a good alignment.
hierarchy/ proportion/ scale
The pen will be of a suitable size and structure
Contrast/ harmony
The pen will have a good consistency of colours, shapes as well as keeping in mind that the materials used within the product that will contrast with others.
Balance
The pen must incorporate specific textures that will work with one another

Space
The pen will make good use of space
Colour
The pen will make good use of colours which will all meet the users needs
Shape
The pen will be an appropriate size and shape
Texture
The pen will have an appropriate texture for its use, i.e. smooth, rough etc
Forms and value
The pen must be an appropriate size
