Begin Screening Process
Have parents review and sign the ARD documents (Admissions, Review, and DIsmissal)
Have School Nurse check hearing and vision
Create ARD committee and develop Individualized Education Program for student
Review and adjust plan accordingly so goals are met

Identify Struggling Student
Proceed to #2
If nothing improves, apply to attend the fortnightly CST (Child Study Team) meeting for review.
After trying additional measures and seeing no results,
meet with CST for reassessment and possible referral to special education screening.
Refer student for screening for Special Education
Proceed to #4
Discuss strategies with members of CST through round table discussion.
If something hasn't been tried already, try it in the classroom for a determined amount of time.
Set date for CST reassessment.
Prepare Documentation for CST report
Annual Review
Review how the student is doing on the IEP
ARD Committee and Parents meet once a year
Make any necessary changes to IEP to make sure educational goal are being met
