Not only are the products on this website extremely expensive but they also do not appear to be that much safer. None of the ingredients are listed except "plants" and "not petroleum." If the company really wanted to be transparent the ingredients would all be listed.
The website says their products are verified as organic but that could mean many things. Organic does not always mean healthier due to the fact that man natural compounds are very toxic or damaging.
⭐ I think the main goal of this company is not to include healthier ingredients but instead to make a lot of money off of people who like to hear the word organic.
Avalon Organics
The Avalon organics website immediately appears to be more natural just with the branding. The certifications appear to be more trustworthy. The ingredients of every product is listed. All of their products contain no phthalates and each appear to be scented naturally. The products are not grossly expensive and are available at Walmart and Target
⭐ I would much rather use these products for both their price and ingredients.
Personal Care Alternatives
Teaching others how to comb websites like Intelligent Ingredients and Avalon Organics to find healthier and cheaper local options could create a domino effect. One person begins to learn to shop healthy and teaches another who teaches another.
Mother Dirt believes that a solution would be to no longer need personal care products. The company believes their products can restore healthy and natural bacteria to the skin. Supposedly this would soften, strengthen and help the skin to the point where one would no longer need any personal care products.
DIY Makeup
While DIY makeup is a way to know exactly what is in your personal care products it can often be more expensive or ineffective. Sometimes buying the ingredients to make the product end up being more expensive than buying the already made product. Without any preservatives DIY products would go bad faster and unless it is a trusted recipe it may not even be safe or effective in the beginning.
'Deadly Ingredients Aren't a problem'
In the book a Doctor stated that the risk of the parts per billionth of chemicals in products makes no difference to human life. He said that people are living longer so there should be no worry. He believes the main problem is poor diets and vitamin deficiencies.
The doctor mentioned is extremely biased because he works for a company selling vitamins and was probably paid by a cosmetics company to present. ⭐
Healthy eating is a huge step in living a healthy life but so is not putting endocrine disrupting chemicals in your body. ⭐
Organic
: :There are no regulations on the use of the word organic on personal care products. Similar to the word pure or gentle it requires no proof whatsoever. This is a marketing play that encourages people to buy the products thinking it is healthier even though it may not be,
