Population Factors
Latitude
The farther north you go the colder and more extreme the environment becomes, resulting in lower populations (No one wants to live there)
Altitude
Areas at high altitudes will struggle to raise crops, and the extreme temperature will make life difficult

Regime
The regimes affect the natalist policy, also extreme regimes will push people away, and possible kill thousands leading to a population drop

Infant mortality
Kids dying leads to less people in the future, leads to a lower population
Vegetation
Areas with extreme vegetation, are unlikely to be populated (eg- Amazon Rain forest)
Fertility Rate
-Births per a woman, the more kids a woman has (on average), more kids higher population
