*The Natives Fight back!
*The plains wars: - sand creek Massacre. - red River War. - battle of little big horn. - wounded knee.
*Red River War~ 1868, southern plains, kiowa comanche, U.S. wins .
*Sand Creek Massacre~1862, Colorado's sand creek reserve,cheyenne,150 women and children were killed, Indians lost.
*Custer's last stand~ 1876, the little big horn river, sioux cheyenne, Indians win.
*Wounded knee~1890, south dakota wounded knee creek, seventhcavalry, 350 people, last of phins wars.
*Manifest Destiny:-Three themes: ~values of American people. ~Westward expansion through Agrarian America. ~It was America's Destiny.
*Indian removal Act 1830:
~ passed by president Andrew Jackson.-Hero of war of 1812 who fought with Indians.

~Texas and the U.S agreed to make Texas the 28th state in 1845.

-Santa Anna instead attacks the American Army.
~Angry about the Annexation of Texas Mexico would attack American troops along the Rio Grande.
-Santa Anna loses badly and the American Army continues South,taking Mexico city in 1847.
TREATY OF GUADALUPE-HIDALGO 1848:
-Officially ends the Mexican-American war.
-Mexico gives New Mexico and California also Arizona to America.
Gadsden Purchase 1853:
-United States wants this land for Railroads.
-United States pays Mexico $10 million for all territory along the Gila River.
*Slavery:
*How many slaves?
~ 12.5 million slaves were brought to the America's. ~10.5 million survived the trip also known as" The Middle Passage." ~ Only 400,000 thousand were sent to the American Colonies.
Europe Exports:Clothes,rum, and manufactured goods from Europe (goods made from: sugar,cotton, tabacco).
-Triangle Trades: system of trading that brought slaves to the American Colonies in exchange for goods.
