Government & Law
- Trial by Jury - A jury trial, or trial by jury, is a lawful proceeding in which a jury makes a decision or findings of fact, which then direct the actions of a judge it help us to see who goes to jail or not.
- Roots of Democracy - Modern democracies, including the United States, were founded on principles of government first established. Ancient Greece and Rome. The Roman example was that of a republic, a government where different groups of people elect representatives to act in their name in small groups, such as a senate.
- Pythagorean Theorem -In mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem, also known as Pythagoras's theorem, is a fundamental relation in Euclidean geometry among the three sides of a right triangle.
Engineering & Technology
- Sun is the Center of the Solar System - In a book called On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Bodies it show a model of the solar System and it show how the solar system work and heliocentric system.
3.Wood Screw - The wood screw is a tool used for building and putting different parts together. These screws help us today with parts of buildings that we can't use metal screws. They are also used for signs that you would like to put on a house that you are not willing to destroy your house with metal screws.
4.Pulleys and Levers - wheels, levers, and pulleys are all used in the mechanism of a bicycle. The mechanical advantage of a compound machine is just the product of the mechanical advantages of the simple machines of which it is composed.
- Odometer - mushers the distance of how far something goes. The odometers can be mechanical or electronic. It helps us today when driving in a car.
- Alarm Clock - The alarm clock is a clock that can sit on surface, and you can set it for it to go off at a certain time. The alarm clock helps us in many ways, it helps us read the time. The alarm clock also notifies us to do an activity.
Art & architecture
- Amphitheater - Amphitheater's are Colosseum type building with lots of seats. Amphitheaters are not used today. Most of the Amphitheaters are broken down and are not used at al.
- Stadium - A stadium is a place for sports surrounded by layer of stairs. Today we still use them. We play football, soccer, and have halftime shows today.
- Theatre - a building or outdoor area were plays and other dramatic plays are viewed. Theatres are still around today. Today people are in love with Shakes-spear.
Greek Columns - The ancient Greeks were awesome architects. They made three types of columns to support their buildings. There was Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. We still use columns today on lots of buildings. Today one of the most famous house has columns, The White House.
History & Literature
- History Book - History Books is a book that is used to study the study of historiography. The history book is used now to tell us about what happened in the past. Also, it helps us and gives us more information about what we are learning about.
- Olympics - Olympics are games that the Greeks created which was base on agility and strength. Now today we have more events that were added to the Olympics, but some are still the same. Also today in the Olympics you are dressed in clothes and not naked.
- Greek Mythology- Greek Mythology is the teaching and myths that belong to the Ancient Greeks about their gods, heroes, customs, and the natural world. It teaches us on their lives and how they use to do stuff and honor their gods. Greek mythology affected literature and art in today's society also. All the poets turned to Greek Mythology to get inspiration and get stories.
