Metaphase: Chromosomes line up along center of cell (individually in both mitosis and meiosis II, paired in meiosis I); spindle fibers attach to centromeres
Anaphase: Sister chromatids are pulled apart and to opposite ends of the cell (mitosis and meiosis II); Paired chromosomes are separated and pulled to opposite ends of the cell (meiosis I)
Telophase: Nuclear envelope reforms (mitosis, meiosis I, and meiosis II); cell begins to pinch in two
