marriage and were more easy
religion was forbidden
education --> new schools were built
Communism saw it a trick to make people accept bad living conditions
propaganda
secret police was still present
red terror and cheka similar to Tsar's time
newspapers were still being censored for opposition

very good speaker
knew what the majority of the population wanted and usually tried to provide it
without him revolution of 1917 would not have occurred
kept Russia going
thanks to him the Bolsheviks stayed in power
after 1921 he began to give more freedom
against
dictatorship (he seized to power without the majority of the population's votes)
did not share power
he used a lot of terror and there was not a lot of freedom of speech (oppositions were killed or arrested)
prpared to see lots of Russians suffering for his ideas
