How I think they see me! - as
inferior, inadequate, incompetent
The urge to defend, over-compensate, go on the offensive
'Others' could be the critical self
Isolating - Avoiding closeness, connection, intimacy for fear of rejection - once the truth is discovered!
Racing head, Racing emotions
A desire to be invisible
a sense of anxiety, disgust or anger
a feeling of being flawed,exposed, inadequate, separate, disconnected, bad
Comparing to and judgement of others
Anger. Injustice. Get-even
Can we accept (the past), change the cause, seek and accept help?
If 'no' - if unprocessed, we become Stuck in Shame!
The only Response is
Image Management
(hide me)- reject or compensate for 'the perceived flaws'
'Keep Up the Act'
Over-striving, Perfectionism
Exhaustion, Illness, Weakness
Fire-fighting
A Cycle of Shame!
Anger, Disapproval, Disappointment
Objects of shame include; Body, Mind(Intellect), Sexuality, Environment, Background, Origin. Familly, Accent, Culture, Clothes, Clumsiness(lack of skill, talent)
