Options After College
Employment
-
For employment I will need a cv, personal statement, covering letter and references.
Places to look: Indeed.co.uk, Glassdoor.co.uk, Reed.co.uk, Monster.co.uk, college lecturers, etc.
-
Genres are all completely different, however I would prefer studio, portraiture, wedding or advertising.
I would look at areas close to where I live first, instead of larger areas, such as, London, Manchester, etc.
-
University
-
If I were to look at Universities, I would look at courses based on portraiture, studio, or the business side of photography.
University is not one of my main options for my plans after college, I am going to be looking at University options, however, employment appeals more to me at this stage.
-
I will look at accommodation at universities and attend the UCAS fayre in November to look at the different Universities and compare options for if I want to go down this route after researching.
To help me explore universities, I could look at: unifrog, talk to college lecturers, UCAS fayre and website, etc.
Apprenticeship
-
Places to look: Unifrog, the apprenticeships department within college, online job websites, etc.
-
I will need to ensure I have a portfolio, cv, personal statement, covering letter and references, just in case they are needed.
Most apprenticeships are basic wage for an apprentice, however some can offer more.

HND
-
Cheaper than going to University, and would be easier to travel to
