Other Support Agencies
At one time or another I have worked with each of these agencies; this year one child has 6 Agencies involved in their care
Public Health Nurse (Local DHB)
Mental Health Services for Young People (Local DHB)
Ministry of Social Development: CYPFS Social Workers
Ministry of Education Special Ed Services Psychologists, Crisis Response, Speech Language Specialists
Resource Teachers for Learning and Behaviour (RTLB)
Legal Aid - Lawyer for the Child
Disability Agencies: Foundation for the Blind, Deaf Support Services.
Professional Development
I am working with each of these groups continually throughout the year. Sometimes scheduling can become very difficult!

I teach at a large primary school (860 students) so there are many schedules, groups and events to manage

Teacher Aides & other teaching specialist staff (ALL, Reading Recovery)

Curriculum Committees (leaders in each curriculum area) currently there are 5 committees in my school.

It's important to connect with each student's whanau and build rapport with them. The diversity is immense
