What are Emotions
Nonverbal Reactions
Feelings are often apparent by observable changes to appearance such as blushing perspiring. Can be noticed and interpreted by others. People can actually create emotional states by altering their facial expressions.

Physiological Changes
When experiencing strong emotions, many bodily changes occur (heartbeat, blood pressure, adrenaline). Once you become aware of the sensations in the body, it can give you significant clues to your emotions
Verbal Expression
Is a more clear way of expressing your emotions. Putting emotions into words can help you manage them more effectively, whereas leaving them unspoken can result in negative mental and even physiological effects.

Rational emotive approach is based on the idea that the key to changing feelings is to change unproductive cognitive interpretations. interpretation is when an event happens that leads to a thought or belief and lastly to a consequence (feeling).
