Love
Peers
Mrs. Johnson & Lena
The gossip lady in the neighborhood and her intentions aren't always good. Mama listens just to be kind. Ruth and Beneatha both despise the woman.
Mr. Linder
Not a kind or caring person. The bearer of bad news, nobody likes nor cares for.

Romeo & Mercutio
Mercutio, like Benvolio, supports Romeo. He wants Romeo to get over Rosaline because he doesn't like him moody. Romeo cares for Mercutio and you can tell because he kills Tybalt for killing Mercutio.

Marriage
Romeo & Juliet
They marry out of love and secretly because their families hate each other. The nurse and the friar are both in on this marriage and I believe this has to do with them being trustworthy. Romeo & Juliet would rather die than live without each other and this want/need is what drives them to their death.
Ruth & Walter Lee
They married for love in the begining but like most things, found out there is no such thing as a "happily ever after". If you want your marriage to work out, you have to work on it. They learn this the hard way of course, but in the end they have a much stronger marriage, than Romeo and Juliet. They endure to the end.
Mama & Big Walter
They wanted the best for their children, and from the way Mama speaks of her husband, they had always loved each other.
Capulets & Montagues
Most likely, they both had arranged marriages and that is just the way it was. They decide for their children because that is what is expected.
Dating
Romeo & Juliet
Love at first sight, yet doomed to fail. They make each other happy and want to be together. Not the likely match considering their families hate each other. They can't live without the other and therefore act hastily and get married within two days.
Paris & Juliet
Arranged between Paris & Lord Capulet. Juliet has no interest in Paris. Paris is wealthy and could give Juliet a decent life.
Beneatha & George
What the neighbors and family think would be a good match. George is wealthy and would give Beneatha a decent life. Beneatha is not really interested but George is.
Beneatha & Asagai
Beneatha is happy with Asagai and he is happy with her. They build each other up and believe in each other's dreams.
Family
Mother & Child
Nurse & Juliet
The nurse raised Juliet and so the line that she has with her real mother is non-existent. Even though they are not blood related they act the way a mother in our world normally acts. They joke around and giggle together. The nurse can tell what Juliet truly wants and the nurse cares about what Juliet cares about. Juliet is able to confide in her nurse.
Lady Capulet & Juliet
The two are not close together. There is a line that neither one wants to or feels that it is proper to cross over, so they live in separate little worlds. Lady Capulet does what she thinks is best for Juliet without her consent.
Mama & Beneatha
Mama doesn't understand what her daughter wants, partly because Beneatha doesn't know what she wants. You can tell Mama cares for her but there is a bitter taste because of the confusion.
Mama & Walter Lee
They struggle to get along because they are both very opinionated. Mama struggles to tell him no or to let him learn from his mistakes. Walter complains to his mother about his problems (this is where he contrasts with Juliet and her father).
Ruth & Travis
Ruth doesn't want him to be foolish and doesn't spoil him because she is trying to teach him. Travis respects and loves his mother back.
Father & Child
Juliet & Lord Capulet
As with Juliet and her mother, Lord Capulet has his own plans for his daughter. I respect him a little because at first he wanted Paris to wait to marry Juliet because she was still young. When Juliet didn't like the plans her father had for her, she went and did her own thing- like marrying Romeo instead of Paris.
Walter Lee & Travis
He wants his child to have what he can't and in the end, to have a better life. This desire for his child is what pushed him to decide to move into the house Mama bought.
Cousins
Tybalt & Juliet
They were at least a little close because Juliet mourns over is death. She has to decide whether to mourn over him or Romeo's banishment.
