      - Lab suggestive: Detection HepA IgM (no recent vaccine)
      - Clinical:
        
        Child < 5 yo OR
        
        Acute illness, 2 of: nausea, LOA, malaise, anorexia, abo discomfort, AND
        
        Jaundice OR dark urine OR altered LFTs
- - - - Consider PEP for families
  - - - RA: whether handler was working while infectious, nature of illness, hygeine practices, hygeine training, santiation practices of facilitiy.
      - Consider PEP for patrons if case handled food that was not cooked prior to servigin AND had diarrhea or poor hygeine AND patrons can be identified within 2 weeks
- - - - While infectious: DO NOT donate blood, have sex, attend c/care/schools, share drug paraphrenalia, prepare food for others
    - - Should not attend childcare or health care facilities, handle food for others whilst infectious.
    - - Confirm dx, onset of sx, relevant lab tests, exposure investigation
        
        Exposure Ix: water supply, recreational water exposure, drinking water, food history (restaurants, uncooked shellfish), sexual practices (MSM), sewerage exposure, occupation (HCW, educational facility, childcare), travel, household contacts, illicit DU, prison, HCW, assoc with Aboriginal community, hospitalisation,
  - - - Hep A vaccine if aged 1 - 40yr old
      - NHIG if immunocomp, <12 mo, chronic liver disease, vaccine is CI
      - Not indicated for sporadic cases in school or work settings
