Fire 
Fire symbolizes more than one thing in F.451. The firemen burn books and they used 451 as a symbol of the temperature that they use to burn paper.
Phoenix 
Montag uses an example of phoenix because when the city was burned down, he saw the phoenix as the afterlife.
Blood 
Blood represents the life, passion, and horror in F.451. For example, when Mildred overdoses they replace her with her blood.
Hearth and Salamander 
Hearth represents fire, while salamander represents the fireman. The firemen wear salamander imagery on their uniforms because salamander once believed in fire.

Montag
Montag is the protagonist in F.451. He burned books at the beginning but he changed to a man who really get into the books. 
Mildred
She is Montag's sick wife. She is obsessed with the tv and does not talk with her husband Montag. She tried to kill herself with pills. She does not care about the life of Montag. 
Clarisse
She is a seventeen year old that changed Montag because she see things in a different way and does not care how the society sees her. 
Beatty
He is the captain of Montag's job. He is one of the people who hates books the most, although he is a very well read person.

Non-Conformity
Clarisse is an example of Non-Conformity because she is not ok with the fact that everyone uses technology and she likes books and nature.
Technology
Mildred is an example of technology because she prefers the tv over Montag. Technology take over the whole society.
Ignorance vs. Knowledge
Montag learned how ignorant are the society because they do not want any people to be superior to other people.
Censorship
Censorship is reflected in F.451 in a way that a person cannot read a book because they cannot be inferior to them.
Genre
Dystopian
Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian literature because they do not want people to read. They only want a perfect society in which everyone uses technology.
