The Bunk House shows the perpetual nature of the migrant workers lives because they move from place to place with no improvement

Reciprical life of a migrant worker is shown throught the book as it starts and ends in the same place
Candy's dog is symbolic of the relationship that George and Lennie have as they stick together as companions but after the death of Candy's dog,George realises that he must shoot Lennie
